  • Cook Time: 12 minutes
  • Total Time: 17 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 2-3 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen shredded hash browns (no need to thaw)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

2. Prepare the Hash Browns:

  • In a large bowl, toss frozen hash browns with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • For a crispier result, lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

3. Cook the Hash Browns:

  • Spread the hash browns evenly in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  • Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crispiness.
  • If you prefer extra crispy hash browns, add 2-3 more minutes of cooking time.

4. Serve:

  • Transfer the crispy hash browns to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  • Serve hot with ketchup, hot sauce, or your favorite breakfast sides.

Notes

  • For Extra Flavor: Add a pinch of paprika or a sprinkle of shredded cheese before serving.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispiness.
  • Make It Your Own: Mix in diced onions, bell peppers, or chopped herbs before air frying for a loaded hash brown variation.
